Nagoya University notes that Uzbekistan has made significant progress in human rights field and offers close cooperation to the National Human Rights Centre of the Republic of Uzbekistan (NHRC).
This is stated in a letter to the NHRC Director, Professor Akmal Saidov.
Director of the Center for Asian Legal Exchange (CALE) of Nagoya University, Professor Akira Fujimoto, notes the great effectiveness of the International Parliamentary Forum held on June 10 jointly with the Inter-Parliamentary Union. The participants considered the role of parliaments in implementing the UN bodies’ recommendations on the example of the UN Human Rights Council and the Human Rights Committee.
Taking into account the significant international authority of Japan’s legal theory and practice, the NHRC begins preparing project proposals for discussion with CALE.
