The Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in China organized talks to discuss the implementation of a project on creating Uzbekistan – China Agricultural Scientific and Technical Innovation Park, via videoconference.
The meeting was attended by senior officials of the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan, the khokimiyat of Syrdarya region and employees of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Beijing, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the PRC, Yangling Agricultural High-Tech Zone (Shandong province) and leading agricultural enterprises.
It was emphasized that this project is very important for development of the agricultural sector in Uzbekistan. The Chinese side held presentations of projects planned for the implementation in Uzbekistan – China Agricultural Scientific and Technical Innovation Park.
Following the videoconference, the parties agreed to speed up the issue of signing the relevant Memorandum of Understanding, paying special attention to cooperation in research and development in a number of promising areas. In particular, they include fruit growing and processing, field breeding, flower seedling cultivation, warehouse logistics, internet and agriculture and other areas of mutual interest.
