Algiers (UNA-OIC) – Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has stressed that what is happening in Tunisia is an internal matter and that it is capable of solving its problems without any external pressure.
In an interview granted to representatives of the national press on Sunday evening, President Tebboune said that Algeria rejects putting pressure on Tunisia and intervention in its internal affairs, stressing that his country stays with Tunisia “through thick and thin”.
Late last month, President Tebboune had received a phone call from his Tunisian counterpart Kaïs Saïed, during which they discussed the current situation in Tunisia and exchanged views on the latest developments. They also discussed the prospects for Algerian-Tunisian relations and ways to strengthen them.
