Aden (UNA-OIC) – The World Health Organization (WHO), with the support of the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Action (KSRelief), has provided medical supplies to Yemen worth $24 million.
This initiative is aimed at covering the shortage in Yemeni hospitals and to meet the needs of patients suffering from chronic conditions, such as cancer, kidney failure and non-communicable diseases, including diabetes.
It also comes within the framework of the support being provided by Saudi Arabia, through KSRelief, to the UN health agency to strengthen the health situation in Yemen and various other countries.
KSRelief, under the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, has implemented until last month 218 health projects in all Yemen’s provinces to alleviate the sufferings of the Yemeni people.
