Jeddah (UNA-OIC) – The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has denounced the opening in occupied Jerusalem of an office affiliated to the Czech Embassy and another affiliated to the Embassy of Kosovo.
The General Secretariat affirmed that this illegal act violates international law and all relevant resolutions of the United Nations, particularly UN Security Council Resolution 478, which prohibits the establishment of diplomatic missions in the occupied city.
The OIC called for abstaining from causing prejudice to the historical, legal and political status of the occupied Jerusalem, which forms an integral part of the Palestinian territory occupied since 1967.
